The aim of this course:
The aim of the course is to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to enable them to operate as a pilot in command of a single engine helicopter under Visual Flight Rules for commercial purposes. The CPL/IR is a course designed to train the holder of a Private Pilot License (PPL) in order to obtain the CPL/IR with ATPL (H) theory credit.
Theoretical & Flight Training:The ATP(H) Theoretical course comprises 13 subjects and includes presentations, training syllabus, progress tests and sample exams. The training Pilot has the choice to follow the Residential Course (R.C.) of 650 hrs (PPL holders) full class or the Distance Learning (D.L. self-study). In the case of D.L. the student shall attend 65 hrs in the classroom with an instructor. The D.L. course may commence at any time during the year. In case of (R.C.) residential choice (5 months class) and due to our continuous ground school academic programme, the student can join the course at any time.
CPL/IR Flight Training & Duration:
•95hrs PIC (pilot in command) on a single engine piston or turbine helicopter
• 5hrs flight for the Night Rating
• 10hrs flight training for the Instruments Rating
• 30hrs of flight Instruction on a single engine piston or turbine helicopter for the CPL module

- Hold an EASA PPL(H) (min 45hrs flight time)
- Hold an EASA Class 1 medical certificate
- Hold ICAO 4 English Language Proficiency
The duration of the CPL/IR(H) Course is 12-14 months.
